Amanda Shelnutt

Biography

Amanda Shelnutt began working at Oberlin in January of 2023 in the Center for Student Success. As the Director of Student Success Operations, Amanda holds a dual role and supports both students and staff. She manages the daily operations and communications within CSS, and is responsible for first-generation and income-eligible (FGIE) support initiatives on campus.

Amanda earned an Associate degree in applied business at Cuyahoga Community College, and a Bachelors degree in non-profit administration through Cleveland State University. Prior to her role at Oberlin, she has worked in both the public and private educational sectors.

In her free time, Amanda likes to spend time with her adult children, hike, dance, read, cook, and play with her dogs. She also enjoys photography, fiber arts, sculpture, and theater.
