Oberlin College and Conservatory of Music have a combined 40,000+ alumni. The Alumni Association seeks to unite graduates with each other and current students through mentoring and career development programs, events and reunions, and a range of volunteer opportunities.

Get involved

Alumni have many ways to get involved in the life of the Alumni Association. Volunteer to serve in a range of capacities—from recruiting new students to sponsoring a student during winter term to serving on a committee. The Alumni Association has something for everyone.

Aahil Singh ’26 Turns Inspiration to Action

October 14, 2024

After being fascinated with the research of Assistant Professor of Statistics and Data Science Joshua H. Davidson ’12, Aahil Singh ’26 decided to pursue a similar project. As a double major in mathematics and economics with a statistical modeling minor and data science concentration, Aahil appreciates how concepts can cross disciplines. Through Summer Experience Funding, over the summer, he worked on a research paper with Professor Davidson on the subject of transportation.

Leadership and Administration

Oberlin’s president, along with the Board of Trustees and the Office of the Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary are part of the leadership and administration. The president is responsible for the effective administration and operation of the college.

Alumni-Elected Trustees

Oberlin is unusual among liberal arts colleges in that six of the 29 to 37 seats on its board of trustees are filled through direct election by alumni. Each year alumni can vote for an alum to serve in this capacity.
