About the Oberlin Parents Council

Oberlin Parents Council (OPC) members serve as liaisons to the parent & family community and are committed to enhancing the quality of the Oberlin student experience through their philanthropic support and volunteer outreach.    

Expectations: 

• Make an annual leadership gift to the Oberlin Parents Fund or the fund of the student and families' interest 
• Serve as positive liaisons for Oberlin College and Conservatory
• Educate parents & families on the importance of financial support for scholarships, student programs, and educational experiences
• Offer leadership, career, and internship opportunities to students
• Recommend prospective students for admission
• Sponsor and/or host Oberlin-related events and activities
• Consider a legacy gift of $50,000 or more in honor of their student’s graduation
