A chief goal of Oberlin’s academic advising is to help students build an educational program consonant with their interests and graduation requirements. Some academic interests—medicine or general music, for example,—may fall outside of the traditional framework of a department or program major.
Other programs such as the double degree have specific requirements to help you attain the dual certification in five years or fewer.
We encourage you to take advantage of advising opportunities, regularly review the course catalog, explore your interests through our range of multidisciplinary courses, and consult with the Academic Advising Resource Center to ensure you remain on track and make the most of your educational experience.
