Scholar Studies

Availability

  • scholar studies are reserved for honors students only
  • honors students are eligible for use of a scholar study for one semester only
  • demand exceeds supply
    • not every honors student will get a scholar study
    • students on the waiting list will be considered in the order in which the applications were received
  • assignments are made at the beginning of each semester and winter term on a first-come, first-served basis

Application Process

  • submit the Scholar Study application [pdf] in May of the junior year
    • applications are considered in the order in which they are received
  • indicate your preference for fall or spring semester
  • not sure if you've been accepted to do honors?
    • submit an application in May anyway (you can turn in your advisor's signature upon confirmation)
  • submit completed applications to Bill Ruth in the Administrative Office, Main Library

The Fine Print

  • by submitting a scholar study application, you agree to abide by the Rules for Assigned Scholar Studies [PDF] 
    • violation of these rules may result in forfeiture of the scholar study 
  • all scholar studies offer wired and wireless access to the campus network
    • Contact the CIT Help Desk for assistance connecting your computer to the campus network.
