Joseph Rubin

Founder and Senior Partner, Rubin & Bailin, LLP;
Director, Executive Training International, LLC

Mr. Rubin is a founder and Senior Partner of Rubin & Bailin, LLP, an international and domestic corporate and commercial law practice in New York City. He specializes in startup ventures as well as international business transactions, and has acted as advisor and principal in the successful launching of numerous businesses in the U.S. and overseas. He has been a co-founder or member of the Board of Directors of more than 20 companies, in such fields as medical and wellness, bio-tech, fast food, e-mail technology, real estate and education, including assisting Sylvan Learning Systems to develop an international organization in over 150 countries to implement global test-giving operations.

He has authored articles and conducted lectures on international law, on privatization, and he has been a visiting lecturer at The Wharton School, New York University, Rutgers, Fordham and other universities. In addition, Mr. Rubin has been a consultant to the Malaysian Government and the Hebei Provincial Government of China, advising on establishing entrepreneurship centers. Mr. Rubin has also acted as consultant to various institutions and the U.S. and foreign governments on strategic planning, legal issues, and mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Rubin taught at the Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs, from l997 to 2007 where he remains Executive Director of the International Technical Assistance Program for Public Affairs (ITAP) which he developed for Columbia to provide education and training programs in free-market economics and business management to executives in former socialist states and developing areas. Mr. Rubin was Adjunct Professor at the Columbia University Graduate School of Business from 1973 to 1995, and taught at Columbia Law School in 1996.

Mr. Rubin received his law degree from Harvard Law School, and his B.A., MIA, and M.Phil degrees in political science and international relations from Columbia University.
