Oberlin alumnus Vijay Seshadri is the author of three collections of poetry: the Pulitzer Prize-winner 3 Sections; The Long Meadow, which also earned the James Laughlin Award; and Wild Kingdom. His poems, essays, and reviews have appeared in the Nation, the New Yorker, the Paris Review, and in many other periodicals and anthologies including Under 35: The New Generation of American Poets, Contours of the Heart, Staying Alive: Real Poems for Unreal Times, and in The Best American Poetry in 1997 and 2003. He is the Michele Tolela Myers Chair in Writing at Sarah Lawrence College, where he teaches poetry and nonfiction writing.
